As the region of Skåne in Sweden is modernising the hospital area in Malmö, digitalisation is a key issue right from the start. The construction is one of the largest that building company Skanska is carrying out in Sweden and constitutes an important part of project Connected Construction Site. It is a collaborative project which is part of the Smart Built Environment innovation program. Around 30 companies are taking part with the purpose of testing new technical solutions and new business models for industry and construction.
TPO is participating by virtue of our long years of experience as supplier of network services. We are providing a ground layer of IT that makes it possible to connect machines, people, and sensors. The purpose is to make construction of the new hospital more secure, more effective and to minimize its environmental impact. The project brings about a lot of product development and is carried out in close cooperation with Skanska Rental , who carries out the actual installation. With our knowledge, our equipment and our services we play a central part in the historical shift towards a connected construction sector.
