The boats are transported by air between the different legs and assembled on site. TPO provides Wi-Fi, printers and more to the tech, media and VIP area, and to the TV compound – the area where the TV broadcasts are being produced. In some cities, these areas were spread out geographically, something that presented a challenge since our goal is to build several networks joined in a way that makes the user experience them as one. We also create a wireless system for IP TV which transmitted video to spectator boats where the race was shown on screens. Two specialists from TPO are present for the entirety of the tour. In addition, the team back home provides support remotely from Sweden.
