TPO develops and installs communication infrastructure in order to support digitization and innovation. We specialize in designing and commissioning services and products adapted to cope with harsh environments when implemented both in temporary and in permanent installations.
Since the start in 2006, we have repeatedly proven our understanding and knowledge of the combination of business and technology and what is required to achieve effect. TPO’s origins are the event industry where we have learned that time, service and special solutions as well as robust packaging for tough environments are business critical. We have been a significant part in connecting projects such as the Melodifestivalen, Way Out West and the Eurovision Song Contest. Events where technical failures during live broadcast is not an option.
When it comes to events and other temporary applications our operating model is based on rental of hardware and complementary services. We have a large stock of communication hardware from Cisco and Motorola among others. In later years, we have also seen a development where industrial and construction industries have seen greater incentives to become more digital and connected.
Requirements for efficiency, durability and cost savings mean that digital aids go from nice to have to must-have. The experience we have built up over the years with both smaller projects and larger complex assignments means that we have a very good understanding of the demands and requirements of the industrial and construction sector.
Among other things, TPO participates in the Smart Built Environment project “Connected Construction Site”, where we design and develop new solutions to ensure connection during the construction of Malmö’s new hospital area. This is a pilot project in the connected construction industry of the future. In collaboration with Cisco Systems and Tele2, Skanska, among others, TPO also plans to start up the Wireless Construction project in 2020. The project aims to test how stable connection on construction sites can be created through 5G and Wi-Fi 6. We will also research which technology is appropriate in different applications and situations. Challenging environments, high demands on robust and redundant technical solutions and an understanding of the technology’s business value are TPO’s offerings to an increasingly communicative world.
In the industrial and construction sector, our infrastructure is used for positioning, security technology systems, camera surveillance and telephony/voice communication, among other things. Customers range from mines to high-rise buildings, road tunnels and water treatment plants.
TPO can offer several different types of business models in construction and industry. Either our delivery is made as a rental of only hardware, similar to the type of function that a machine rental company fulfils. Most common, however, is that our customers rent hardware in combination with services. In this way, you as a customer can demand the functionality while we concentrate on finding a cost-effective and reliable solution.
